Interactive Maps: California FAIR Plan Residential Exposure

The California FAIR Plan has released new data this summer. The continued growth of the FAIR Plan has raised concerns about its capacity to serve policyholders and about incentives for private insurers to scale back underwriting to avoid assessments. The maps below illustrate 1) the total residential exposure by ZIP on FAIR Plan policies in June 2025, 2) recent changes in residential exposure between September 2024 and June 2025, and 3) changes in residential exposure from 2020-2025.
